First Civil Unions Celebration!

The Boulder clerk's office will be opening at midnight on May 1. Be among the first to get your Civil Unions license! We will be there with treats and lots to celebrate. Join us in this historic moment for our community.

Doors will open at 11:30pm Tuesday April 30 at the Clerk's office (1750 33rd Ave in Boulder) with the first licenses to be issued at midnight. Applications will take 15-20 minutes for each couple. To facilitate the process, we will provide each person who comes to the clerk's office with a number. This will allow the folks applying for their license to be able to hear the clerk since we have 30+ couples currently planning to attend.

We have Peggy Dyer to provide photography for folks; A Simple Twist providing balloon entertainment for the young ones coming with their parents; sparkling cider donated by participants; and PFLAG donating cake and utensils. (although you can never have too much cake!) Figueroa Sound Productions will provide music for the event.

Please let Aicila know if you are interested in getting your Civil Unions license at midnight alewis (at) outboulder (dot) org.

Colorado Commitments will be there to do ceremonies for people who want to get their license (www.ColoradoCommitments.co m)
Peggy Dyer of 1 Million Faces will be doing photography. (http:// 1millionfaces.blogspot.com/)
