Connecting Boulder County’s LGBT Community Since 1994

Pride House Community Center

Pride House Community Center provides a safe space for LGBT and Allied community groups to meet, and for hosting community empowerment and advocacy events. The Pride House is open and utilized seven days a week, both during the day and evening. To reserve space, click here.

PrideHouse is a designated ‘Safe Zone’.  Discrimination of any kind is not tolerated.   This includes, and it is not limited to the following:  race, ethnicity, color, language, national origin, immigration status, gender, gender expression, sexual orientation, socio-economic background and status, military status, marital and familial status, age, religion, body shape, size and ability.

This is located in the Pridehouse Community center at 2132 14th Street in Boulder, CO.

CyberCenter

Out Boulder has a free CyberCenter, complete with Macs and internet access, and is currently available for free use. Although LGBT youth and adults have access to computers and the internet in most schools and public libraries, they often do not use them because they risk "outing" themselves due to a lack of confidentiality. The screening of relevant information by filtering software further exacerbates this problem. Even if youth have a computer they can use at home, they are often unable to access LGBT resources without "outing" themselves to their family.  The CyberCenter is open for general use during Out Boulder’s regular hours.

Library

The Out Boulder Library is a great resource for the LGBT community in Boulder County. Generous donations of books have helped us build a diverse collection of LGBT-related fiction and non-fiction, including special reference sections for youth, seniors, transgender people, and parents, as well as resources on health-related issues.

Remember that Out Boulder has a lending library - you are welcome to browse the shelves, read at the Pride House, or to borrow the books, videos and tapes.

You can also donate books to the library, especially those pertinent to LGBT interests. We also accept contributions of books that are not relevant to our library and sell them to buy priority new books or replace deteriorating copies. Or better yet, you can exchange your non-LGBT books at a local used bookstore and donate the credit to the Out Boulder library. For more information, contact alewis@outboulder.org.
