Out Boulder is proud to announce our 10th annual Boulder PrideFest will take place on September 15, 2013, 11am - 6pm in Boulder Central Park!

Celebrating the richness of the Boulder Community, Boulder Pridefest is a celebration for all LGBTQ people and our Allies.  The beautiful Boulder Creek, and the famous Flatirons serve as the stage and backdrop for this fun-filled day. Activities for all ages, music and entertainment fill our celebration, while local food vendors and brewers help create the perfect atmosphere for a day in the park.

Boulder Pridefest aims to foster the bonds of community and bring us one step closer to equality, respect, and well-being for all.

Taking PRIDE in PrideFest…

Be a volunteer this year

Out Boulder has a small staff of 4, we rely on the community for support to pull together this fantastic celebration. Can you spare a couple hours?

We need volunteers in the following areas.

Set up (am) (driver: with truck/trailer, loading/unloading supplies, tent set up)… then take the day off and have fun.

Set-Up Crew 8am - 11m

 

Vendor Check In/Out/and Vendor Relief: (host/guides to vendors/help vendors set up, vendor break/relief, runners- offering to get food/drink for vendors. Keeping them happy is ESSENTIAL to PrideFest success.

Vendor Check-in 7:45am - 11:30am

Vendor Check-out 4pm - 7pm

Entertainment/Bandshell: (Set up/tear down between sets, runner for bands, timer-keeps band schedule, Entertainment clean-up crew)

Family/Youth Area (arts/games/sports activities) Recruit family activities: rock wall, balloons, jump castle, face painting etc... If you have a childlike imagination but can be responsible I would love to talk to you more!

Family area needs an hour before and after to set up/tear down, 10-7.

Marketing/advertising/promotion- We need people to post PrideFest flyers everywhere around town, writing letters to the editors of all local papers, blogging, social marketing, twitter/Facebook. Are you social marketing savvy?

Clean up!!! (Pm) SOOO CRUCIAL- Break down of PrideFest; 13th st. and bandshell area, pick up the park, secure site, and load supplies-return to Pridehouse.

Beer/wine garden- 21+ ONLY! Set up, Move Kegs (heavy lifting) Keg beer pourers, soda/beverage distribution, ID Check, ticket sales, clean up.

Beer Garden Entrance (Must be 21+)  12pm - 3pm, 3pm - 6pm

Beer Garden Server (Must be 21+) 12pm - 3pm, 3pm - 6pm

Kickoff & After Party: party planner/sponsor recruitment/giveaways/door prizes etc..

Various times- depending on activities.
