Military LGBT History Celebration

In honor of Veteran’s Day, Out Boulder County has teamed up with Veterans Speak & the Boulder Impact Hub for an evening with two LGBTQ veterans who will share their knowledge and speak to their experiences in the military. We honor the service of our LGBTQ Veterans and invite you to learn more about this intersection of identities.
Followed by a social hour with light snacks, beer, and wine.

Andi Sue Phillips is a former Naval Aviator, women’s leadership expert, diversity consultant, and pilot. Andi Sue will speak about the history of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell and other lesbian and gay issues in the military.
Emma Shinn is a retired Marine officer, defense attorney & owner of the Shinn Law Office, LLC, specializing in criminal and military law, co-founder of the Colorado Name Change Project, and board member for four other Colorado LGBTQ nonprofits. Emma will speak on the experiences and developments of transgender people in the military.
