Death Café

Death Cafe July.png

Join us in the Longmont Out Boulder County office to talk about death! From the Death Cafe website: "At a Death Cafe people, often strangers, gather to eat cake, drink tea and discuss death.

Saturday, July 27th, 3:30-5:30 PM
UCC Longmont - Fireside Lounge

(1500 9th Ave, Longmont)

Our objective is 'to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives'.

A Death Cafe is a group directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counseling session.

The conversation will be facilitated by Geo A. Case. Geo Case is a Board Certified Clinical Chaplain and Pastoral Counselor that currently works as a Community Liaison for a local home health and hospice agency as well as a hospice chaplain providing end of life spiritual care. As a Shamanic Practitioner and massage therapist, Geo has also worked with private clients providing guidance and support through energy work, shamanic ceremony and massage. Through his own experience of death through suicide and illness of loved ones, he holds deep honor for each individual’s journey home while learning long ago that with death comes a deeper understanding and appreciation for life.

This is a free event and refreshments will be served! Please RSVP to next50@outboulder.org.
