Youth Group Facilitator

Hours: 5 hours per week including hours on nights and weekends
Office Locations: Boulder and Longmont
Reports to: Youth Program Coordinator


Description:

The role of the Youth Group Facilitator is to help guide and support Out Boulder County’s Youth Program. The Youth Group Facilitator will help facilitate the Friday Spectrum LGBTQ youth of color group in Longmont from 3-6 pm weekly. Typically, the Youth Group Facilitator will work alongside the Youth Program Coordinator, however there may be times when the Youth Group Facilitator will be asked to lead a group with the Youth Program Coordinator is not available.

This position requires a passion and aptitude for youth services, a great deal of patience, attention to detail, and the ability to respond to many different tasks and situations simultaneously.

The Youth Group Facilitator is part of a very small and dedicated team of staff and volunteers.


Qualifications:

Solid oral and written communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with staff and others outside of the organization. Be self-directed with the ability to demonstrate tact, diplomacy and clarity. Knowledge of interlocking systems of oppression and how they impact LGBTQ people and communities. Ability to work weekend and evening hours.  Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record. Must pass background check. Must be bilingual English/Spanish.

Pride and Special Projects Intern (UNPAID)

Hours: Minimum 15 hours per week
Office Locations: Boulder and Longmont
Reports To: Development and Special Events Manager

Position open starting August, 2018.
The start date of the internship is flexible. However, there is a minimum 3 month commitment to the position.

Description: The role of a Pride and Special Projects Intern is to assist the Development and Special Events Manager with successfully coordinating the Garden Party, Longmont Pride Week, Longmont Pool Party, Boulder Pridefest and Boulder Pride. The position involves a combination of administrative duties, research, special projects, and day-of event responsibilities. Some of the work is clerical: data entry, record keeping, responding to emails, fielding phone calls, soliciting sponsors, vendors, and entertainers.
