Mardi Moore is Out Boulder County’s Executive Director. Prior to joining OBC in 2013, Mardi was the Deputy Director of Development at the New York City LGBT Center and worked as the Associate Director of Individual Giving for the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force. She spent the previous 20 years in Seattle where she owned and operated a fundraising consulting firm serving progressive non-profits in the Pacific Northwest. Mardi has been active in LGBTQ politics at both the local and national level for 30 years. She graduated from the University of Denver with a degree in Political Science. As executive director, she is responsible for the financial management and fundraising for OBC as well as staff development and supervision, program evaluation, board development and planning.

Juan Moreno is the Corporate Sponsorships and Special Events Manager at Out Boulder County. Since he joined the organization in 2015, Juan has planned all major events, including Boulder Pride Week, Longmont Pride Week, the Holiday Party, the Pool Party, and other events. Juan also coordinates sponsorship and donations, and has secured tens of thousands of dollars for the organization. Besides his duties as Corporate Sponsorships and Special Events Manager, Juan was also in charge of the Speaking Out program for the 2016-2017 school year, a program that brings panels of LGBTQ folks to schools, churches, and other organizations.

Michal Duffy is the Education and Program Manager for Out Boulder County. Michal joined Out Boulder County in 2017 and conducts trainings on sex, gender, sexuality, and LGBTQ+101 for businesses, non-profits, schools, government agencies, and other organizations in Boulder County in English and Spanish. They oversee and develop programs and educational community engagements and support the various social and support groups. Michal also works with Out Boulder County’s Trans Steering Committee and serves on various taskforces and working groups in the county. Michal has a Masters in Appropriate Technology and Environmental Design and a Bachelors in Spanish and Philosophy. They have experience systematizing processes and developing the organizational capacity with small non-profits in North Carolina and Vermont. Michal has been engaged in the LGBTQ+ community for over 13 years.  Michal also serves on the Board of Directors for the Boulder Chamber of Commerce and El Centro Amistad.

Christine Gibbons is the Volunteer Coordinator for Out Boulder County. Christine became an active volunteer with Out Boulder County in the fall of 2016. She attended her first OBC event in June of 2016 when the new Longmont office opened. Christine started as a front desk volunteer and then in April of 2017 became the Volunteer Coordinator. As the Volunteer Coordinator Christine is in charge of scheduling volunteers for the front desk in both the Boulder and Longmont locations. She also recruits volunteers for all the PRIDE Events, Garden Party, and other special events throughout the year. Christine is an Ally, happily married for 26 years, and the mother of 3 beautiful daughters (1 cisgender and 2 transgender).

Charlie Prohaska is the new Online Content and Special Events Coordinator for Out Boulder County. In 2018, Charlie graduated from the University of Iowa with a B.A. in International Studies and a B.A. in Gender, Women’s and Sexuality Studies. Throughout their 4 years in college, they were actively involved in the LGBTQ+ student organizations on campus, including being President of Spectrum UI and Vice President of Gamma Rho Lambda, Rho Chapter. Charlie is very passionate about the LGBTQ+ community and is excited to work for this community-oriented organization with a dedicated staff that celebrates diversity and intersectionality.

As the Youth Program Coordinator, Jenna will be staffing our youth groups including the Trans & Gender Expansive youth group, the Art & Activism youth group, the Queer & Trans youth group, and the Spectrum LGBTQ youth of color group in Longmont. Jenna graduated from Portland State University with a Masters in Social work and from Colorado State University with a Bachelors in Ethnic Studies and Women’s Studies. They have experience working with youth in educational settings, juvenile systems, residential treatment facilities, community mental health, and community programming specific for Queer and Trans youth. She is particularly interested in programming that focuses on the intersections of race/ethnicity and gender & sexuality and is excited to get involved with Out Boulder’s QTPOC Steering Committee.

Change the World." and at OBC he gets to follow those words of wisdom.

He has served as Rotary Interact president and is now involved with the Triota Honor Society and Gender Justice League at CU. James regularly attends LGBTQ events and is an advocate for issues affecting the community. He has volunteered with Out Boulder County since July 2018 and is excited to take on this new role with the organization.

Yvonne is now coordinating the Speaking Out program which engages schools and other organizations with panels of LGBTQ volunteers who tell their stories and answer questions about their identities. She is also working with Jenna to assist with the youth programs that facilitate youth leadership and connect with the community, such as the Night of Noise and LGBTQ Dance planning committees, KGNU's Mediagardens project, and the queer youth summer camp. Yvonne is originally from St. Louis and moved to Boulder in 2014. She graduated from CU in May 2018 with BA's in Geography and English. Her experience lies in writing and youth leadership, and for this reason, is very excited to work to empower LGBTQ youth in Boulder County and facilitate radical storytelling with the Speaking Out program. She enjoys backpacking, knitting, and reading Stephen King, among other things.

Bianca Alejandra Oyaneder Balzan is the Queer & Trans People of Color Youth Program Facilitator at Out Boulder County. She received her Bachelors in Sociology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and spent those years grassroots organizing. They are excited to continue creating a space for the QTPOC youths of the community.
