The Trans Health Boulder County directory is not currently being updated as we are working on a new directory project. There are many helpful providers listed, though their information may not be fully up-to-date.

Check out the new & improved Trans Health Boulder County website!

A huge thank you to Stu and Heidi Yates, and Beckett & Iti of Godot Communications for all the work they put into this project!

Sharps Disposal

Disposal Info Sheet - For folks who take injectable forms of Hormone Replacement Therapy, you may have wondered what to do with the used syringes. Here is some information on how to dispose of your used syringes.

Home Disposal of Syringes

You can prevent contamination of our waterways by safely disposing of syringes at home, using a needle exchange program, or via a syringe disposal company.

  • Place sharps in a strong plastic bottle (e.g. bleach, liquid detergent) or metal container with a screw-on or tightly secured lid to prevent accidental contact with the waste.

  • Secure lid with duct tape.

  • Place sealed container in your regular trash.

  • Keep out of the reach of children and pets.

  • The Hazardous Materials Management Facility (HMMF) is currently accepting sharps from Boulder County, City and County of Broomfield, and Town of Erie residents free of charge during normal hours of operation

  • Sharps are NOT accepted by recycling programs. Do not put sharps in with the recycling, even if the container you use to seal them is recyclable, as this puts staff at the recycling center at risk.

Addiction & Recovery

The LGBTQ+ Community encounters different struggles during the addiction recovery process than other communities, which is why we host Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) for LGBTQ+ folks. When peer support is a big part of these community-based organizations recovery programs, it's important for those peers to be a part of the community you identify with.
