Student Seeking Room to Rent

Howdy! My name is Caleb-Diana Colvin. I'm looking for a room to move into as my current living situation has become untenable at best.

I'm a student entering Front Range Community College, and hoping to transfer to CU in the not-too-distant future. My budget is roughly $600 a month. I keep clean, and would appreciate being with others who do as well. Being near to a bus stop would be a plus.

Teacher Looking for Basement Apartment or Room for Rent in July

Specify other description of housing you are seeking.: Teacher moving to the area in July. Seeking a basement apartment or a room for rent. Hoping to say within $500-$700 range

Housing details: Looking to stay near the Boulder/Lafayette/Louisville/Superior/Broomfield areas. Prefer utilities included if possible. I have no pets. I work all day as a teacher and I tend to be a very quiet kind of person. I keep to myself at home usually and I am very organized and clean. Again, I anticipate not moving into the area until the end of July depending on what school district I hire in with. I will be teaching here in Texas until the end of June.
If you have a space that may be available at the end of July, I'd love to hear from you as I am very much looking forward to getting out of Texas.

Stay-at-Home Artist Seeking Room to Rent

Hey everyone. My name is Trish Malone and I am looking for a room to stay and be within Boulder County (Louisville, Lafayette, Longmont, etc.). Because of assistance, my range is between $600 and $900.

I am a midlife queer woman. I’m a create-at-home artist. I’m quiet and friendly, clean and helpful.
We can be ships in the night or occasional dinner/chat/movie mates.
For me, common spaces like the kitchen, living/tv room, laundry are easily navigated with a schedule if that’s preferred.

I love to write comics about funny little things in life and what makes us tick.
(Big fan of Brene Brown's latest special on HBO talking about how we describe feelings.)
If you'd like to see my writing, it lives here: https://comicfury.com/profile.php?username=NKVSSP

I am also an excellent “rubber duck,” if you need someone to think something out with.

I like helping out when I can (my body only holds so much). Sometimes, I will get tired and have to complete a chore the next day. It happens. I will get back to it.

I am COVID cautious (wear masks, try to avoid the obvious danger spots, do nasal swab tests before re-entry, etc).

I don’t drive at all, so no car to park. I do have a walker. At current I "park" it in my friend's garage and then take it for a walk to the bus. So, a place to park my walker for easy extraction out into the world is important.

I will pay the rent on time and be communicative with any changes or requests.
I follow rules and schedules well and am very capable of being a team player.

My safety needs are as follows, because I am who I am (insert La Cage aux Folles song here):
-CO2 and smoke detectors must be in place and working.
-Stairs: I have lived in a split level (longest staircase 7 steps) for a while, and am temporarily out of practice. I believe that cases that are 7 or under are doable. Zero stair cases preferred though.
-I am very allergic to bee stings (honey and wax as well) —I cannot live on hive property. If a nest appears, or if they start getting into the house, will you assist me in relocating them?

I love all manner of creatures, domestic and otherwise.
House roaming pets are OK (but not preferred — some are tripping hazards. If they’re good at backing up, let’s talk.) I can’t really do mice or insect infestations.

If all this sounds amenable, I'd love to hear from you.
I am looking to move very soon.

Other types of housing listings

LGBTQIA+ Affirming Intentional Community

We are an informal group looking to gather those who seek community - to live near others, to share friendship, support, and resources.

We’re encouraging people to buy or rent condominiums within a group of five 12-unit accessible buildings at 1304 to 1320 Snowberry Lane, Louisville, Colorado, developed by Markel Homes. Building sales and rentals are open to the general public. Detailed information about the units is available at www.zillow.com by entering those addresses. Three of the five buildings opened in 2019-2022, and the final two buildings will be completed in May-June 2024.

There will be at least one rental opening at 1320 Snowberry beginning in June of this year. Condominiums in the new buildings are listed for sale by the builder on Zillow using the addresses 1304 and 1308 Snowberry Lane, Louisville.  There are also periodic resale listings and periodic rental openings in the first three buildings.

Because the units are accessible, so far most buyers are in the 50+ age group, although we welcome community-minded people of all ages. To date, 7 of the first 36 units are lesbian-owned (both single and couples) and another 20 or so of the other unit owners and renters choose to be in community. We have quarterly parties that are attended by 25-30 people and we have a regular weekly meet-up for whomever can come. Many friendships have developed, with new friends and smaller groups getting together for meals, walks, cards, sports, movies, etc. We help each other out with pet care, plant watering, and rides when one of us is on a trip or has a health need.

We would appreciate it if you could spread the word and if you would like more information about the community or about rental openings, please contact Elisabeth Borden at elisabethborden@gmail.com.
